we have only eaten here twice, both on super bowl sunday. during the super bowl (and only during the super bowl) they have the most delicious sushi buffet. there are so many delicious choices. and the tempura shrimp is great too. who needs football? i plan to go here every year.

this restaurant has never amazed me, but looking back on it i have only positive feelings about it. like i have said previously, nashville just doesn't have amazing sushi. the sushi here is good and the place is always empty, so the staff is very attentive.

the first time i visited this place i thought it was pretty good. on multiple visits though, i found it to be sort of a one-trick pony. a lot of the rolls here are deep fried. they are very large (like the circumfrence of a softball) which makes them have an awful lot of rice. when you fry that rice it becomes even more heavy and filling. it makes me feel like i'm not actually getting any sushi...

for me, sushi in nashville falls into two categories: good and ok. this place is delicious but not awe-inspiring. unfortunately that makes it one of my favorites in nashville.

everyone talks about this place as if it is nashville's greatest hidden gem. i do agree that it is unique and quaint. but it is the pace itself, they old soda shop style, that is worth checking out, not the food. the food is your regular burger-fry-shake. decent but not amazing.
