We tried to get a seat at the upstairs George's, but be forewarned that the wait is always at least an hour. There is a bar area downstairs, and there was some awesome live music next door. Despite the view of La Jolla Cove being very wide open, beautiful, and a clear view we decided against the 1 hr 15 min wait. The staff is a bit pretentious, but the fresh baked bread was of the natural and delicious variety. The heirloom tomato dish with thinly sliced brie atop was a pleasant surprise, and although the Fluke Ceviche was not what you would call a generous portion size, I would recommend it to others because it was very yummy. The garlic chicken is great, and very juicy (the roasted garlic cloves are delicious when spread on that fresh-baked-bread).
